At NextGen Electrical, we are deeply committed to giving back to the community that supports us. Volunteerism and community involvement are integral to our culture, and we’re proud to support a variety of organizations through our own initiatives and partnerships.
Organizations We Support
Kamloops Hospice House
We are honored to support this incredible facility, which relies entirely on fundraising and private donations, as it receives no government funding. Each year, we host an annual charity golf tournament, raising and donating nearly $100,000 to date. Additionally, we contribute our time and expertise to assist with upgrades, expansions, and maintenance projects whenever needed.
Pit Stop Kamloops
Through our partnership with Rotary West, our president, Greg Nalleweg, leads a team that prepares and serves meals for the homeless four times a year. Volunteers purchase, prepare, and serve proper dinners, feeding up to 300 individuals in a single afternoon. This vital program operates every Sunday year-round, ensuring anyone in need has access to a hot meal.
Kamloops Food Bank
NextGen Electrical sponsors the annual Polar Bear Swim at Riverside Park, where we set up a food donation booth and handle the collection and delivery of all donations. We also match all food donations by weight and any cash contributions made during the event. Additionally, our team participates in the biannual Rotary Food Drive, volunteering time and using NextGen vehicles to collect and deliver donations from across the community. Together, this event collects upwards of 70,000 lbs of food twice a year!
