Greg Nalleweg

Greg began his career as a service electrician in Kamloops, gaining extensive hands-on experience with smaller, less common electrical systems. This foundation gave him a unique knowledge base and problem-solving skills that set him apart. Greg then transitioned to larger construction projects, including working on one of Kamloops' most significant projects, the Telus Data Center. Eventually, he advanced to management roles, further broadening his expertise. In 2016, Greg founded NextGen Electrical with a vision to approach the industry differently. His focus on exceptional customer service and building positive relationships has been at the core of the company’s growth and success. Greg takes great pride in developing NextGen Electrical into a trusted name in the Kamloops community.

Dana Nicholson

Co-Owner | Chief Financial Officer | HR Generalist

With over 20 years of experience leading teams through evolving business initiatives, Dana oversees the company’s financial operations, including planning and analysis, cash flow management, tax compliance, audits, risk management, and payroll. Her background in mathematics and business accounting ensures financial stability while driving operational success. In addition to finance, Dana plays a vital role in HR, managing onboarding, training, benefits programs, apprenticeships, and employee engagement. She fosters a collaborative and supportive workplace where every contribution is valued. Known for her approachable leadership, Dana has earned the trust of employees and partners alike.

Paul Barnes

Chief Operations Officer | Red Seal Electrician

As Chief Operations Officer, Paul plays a pivotal role in leading NextGen’s construction department. With extensive experience managing multiple crews on large-scale multi-unit projects, his expertise in project oversight, technical problem-solving, and subcontractor coordination is unmatched—so much so that his previous role required two people to replace him! Paul drives operational strategies that enhance efficiency, optimize scheduling, and control costs while prioritizing safety, quality, and employee development. His dedication to excellence and strong work ethic make him an invaluable leader at NextGen.

With 15 years of experience in the electrical industry, Nic leads NextGen’s Service Department, overseeing a skilled team of Red Seal electricians. Having spent his entire career in BC’s Interior, he has developed a deep connection to the Kamloops community. His expertise spans residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems, backed by numerous certifications. Nic ensures seamless operations across service, small projects, and commercial clients, managing team development, financial oversight, safety compliance, and strategic growth. Known for his easy-going nature and sharp sense of humor, he’s a trusted leader and a favorite among clients.
